3DFUSED X AXIS INTALL GUIDE
This is a install guide for all X kits the images are reference and will be different for each printer
Step:1
Remove the hotend assembly, Z axis lead screw or screws and anything connecting the X axis to the frame so the X axis assembly can be removed from the machine.
(note: its best to unload any filament before starting )
Step:2
Remove the printer top bar and then slide the X axis assembly off the printer
Step:3
Remove wheels, backplates and any hardware from stock X kit and transfer over to the new X kit
(note: X kits have two mounting locations on the right side before disassembling the stock X axis hold the new X kit up to stock to verify what mounts you will be transferring over to)
Step:4
Slide the new X axis onto the printer frame
(note: you may need to adjust the eccentric nuts to get the axis to slide on its better to have them all the way loose at first. )
Step:5
Slide the X axis all the way down as close to the bed as possible and adjust the eccentric nuts before installing the top bar
(note: the X axis should be parallel to the frame we advise using some 123 blocks or something of the same size to put on each side of the bottom to make it parallel )
Step:6
Install the top bar but don't tighten the screws keep them loose
Step:7
Move the X axis up to the top of the printer and then tighten the top bar
(note: after tightening move the X axis up and down to insure smooth movement)
Step:8
Reinstall lead screw and plug in anything unplugged or removed
(note: most printers now come with a solid coupling if you have a spring coupling on your lead screw make sure it is fully seated its best to loosen the motor set screw and make sure the lead screw face is touching the motor shaft)
